Skin that’s
looked after,
not fought with.

Most actives work by force. They peel, they sting, they make you wait a month for your face to calm down. Copper peptide works with your skin instead — it hands back a signal your body already makes. No peeling. No redness. No worrying about the sun.

The one to start with

Blue Copper Peptide Repair Serum — Firming & Hydrating Facial Serum, 30ml

Copper peptide is not a trend ingredient. GHK-Cu has been studied in dermatology for four decades for one reason: it supports the skin’s own repair process instead of forcing a result.

  • Supports the skin’s natural collagen production
  • Helps skin hold moisture through the day
  • Lightweight — layers under cream and SPF without pilling

Why this exists

Your body already makes this.
It started making less in your twenties.

GHK is not a molecule a laboratory invented so it could sell you a serum. It circulates in your own blood plasma. Loren Pickart found it there in 1973 — and found the amount does not hold steady and then drop off a cliff. It slides, quietly, from your twenties onward.

200 80 30s 40s 50s 200 ng/ml · 20s 80 ng/ml · 60 −60% BY SIXTY
Reported GHK levels in human blood plasma: around 200 ng/ml in the twenties, around 80 ng/ml by sixty. Those two points are the published measurements — the line between them is the trend, not a reading for any single age.

Which means there is no birthday on which this becomes relevant. It is already lower at thirty than it was at twenty-two. The difference is that at thirty you are keeping what you have, and later you are trying to get it back.

The slide tracks with the things everyone notices and nobody enjoys. Skin that takes longer to settle after a spot or a scratch. Less spring when you press a cheek and let go. A slower response to everything you put on it.

So the idea behind this bottle is not to push your skin into doing something new. It is to put back a signal it makes less of every year, in the form the research is actually about — the peptide bound to copper, not the peptide on its own.

Cosmetic product. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The research above is on the ingredient, not on this serum.

The colour is the tell

It is blue because the copper is really in there

Copper Tripeptide-1 is the peptide carrying a copper ion. That ion is where the colour comes from. A copper peptide serum that is clear is worth a question.

It matters beyond the look: in wound studies the peptide bound to copper increased collagen accumulation, and the peptide on its own did not. The copper is not decoration.

How we choose

Most shops sell you products. We spend our time on the ingredients inside them.

Skincare is not short of products. It is short of ones worth putting on your face. So before anything reaches this page it goes through the same three questions: is there real research behind this active, is it here at a strength that does something, and can skin actually absorb it in this base? Most formulas fail one of the three. Those we simply do not stock.

Copper peptide is where we start, because it works alongside skin rather than against it. Everything we keep around it is chosen to pair with it — niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, squalane. No added fragrance, and nothing in the bottle that isn’t doing a job.

That is the whole idea behind OLUNE: you get the shortlist, already narrowed, so your skin only meets what earned its way in.

  • 01

    Copper peptide first

GHK-Cu is the backbone of the line. It signals rather than strips, which is why skin never has to recover from it.

  • 02

    Chosen to work together

Every product is picked to sit under or over the serum without clashing, pilling, or cancelling the next step out.

  • 03

    Twelve, not twelve hundred

A short shelf on purpose. Fewer decisions for you, and not one of them we cannot explain.

The ingredient

What copper peptide actually does

GHK-Cu is a short chain of three amino acids bound to copper. Your body makes it naturally — and makes less of it every decade after twenty.

Applied to skin it does something unusual for a skincare ingredient: it does not strip, resurface or irritate. It signals. Research links it to collagen synthesis, wound repair and antioxidant activity.

That is why it appears in dermatology literature and in clinic-grade formulas — and why we built the line around it instead of around a marketing story.

Cosmetic product. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The routine

Three steps. Two minutes.

The evidence

Copper peptide has a paper trail

Most skincare ingredients arrive with a story. This one arrived in a laboratory, in 1973, and people have been publishing on it ever since. Here is what is actually on record — about the molecule, not about our bottle.

  1. 1973

    Found in human blood

Loren Pickart isolates a small copper-binding peptide from the albumin fraction of human plasma while studying why young plasma made old liver tissue behave younger. It is named GHK, after its three amino acids.

  2. 1977

    Structure confirmed at Harvard

Schlesinger and colleagues confirm the molecule is the linear tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. Not a marketing complex — a defined sequence anyone can synthesise and verify.

  3. 1980s–2000s

Collagen work, and a telling result

In wound studies, GHK bound to copper increased collagen accumulation; GHK on its own did not. The copper is not decoration. It is the reason the peptide is used in the bound form, and the reason a copper peptide serum is blue.

  4. 2018

    Fifty years reviewed

Pickart and Margolina publish a full review of GHK-Cu in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, and a second on copper peptides in skin in Cosmetics. Both are open access. You can read them without asking us.

Where the science stops and we begin

Everything above is research on the ingredient. It is not a study of this serum, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. OLUNE Blue Copper is a cosmetic product — it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything, and no scientist named on this page has evaluated or endorsed it.

What we can tell you is what is in the bottle: Copper Tripeptide-1 as the active, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, no added fragrance, and the full INCI printed on the carton and on the product page. You can check the label against the research yourself. That is the entire point of publishing it.

Questions

Before you order

Am I too young for this?

Almost certainly not. GHK is something your body makes, and it makes less of it every decade after twenty — so the level is already lower at thirty than it was at twenty-two. Copper peptide does not exfoliate, thin the skin or sensitise it to sun, which is why it is one of the few actives with no lower age at which it starts to make sense. In your twenties and thirties you are holding on to what you have; later you are working to get it back. Both are worth doing, and the earlier one is easier.

How soon will I see a difference?

Skin turns over roughly every 28 days, so give it a full cycle before you judge. Most changes people report — texture, bounce, moisture — show up between weeks four and eight.

Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?

Yes, but not in the same layer. Use copper peptide in the morning and retinol at night, or alternate nights.

Is this the same as a professional treatment?

No. This is a cosmetic serum. It supports skin over time; it does not replace anything a clinic does.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Copper peptide is one of the better-tolerated actives — it does not exfoliate or lower skin pH. That said, patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under a doctor’s care for a skin condition, ask them first.

How long does one bottle last?

At three to four drops twice a day, about six to eight weeks.

How fast is delivery, and what does it cost?

Delivery is free on every order — no minimum, nothing added at checkout. Orders leave within one to three business days and arrive in three to seven, tracked door to door. We deliver within the United States only.

What if I change my mind?

If the item is unopened and unused, email us within 30 days of delivery and we refund the product price in full; you arrange the return postage. Opened skincare cannot be taken back for hygiene reasons. If anything arrives damaged, leaking or simply wrong, we replace or refund it at our cost and you do not need to send it back.
